10 major shopping portals in Germany

There are many important and well-attended shopping portals in Germany – impossible to list them all. Of course, they are often based abroad, but they have to be mentioned. What would such a list be without the US retailer Amazon, also number 1 in this country in terms of access? At this point we limit ourselves to 10 important shopping portals in Germany.

1. Amazon

The mail order company is not the champion among the shopping portals in Germany for nothing: There is (felt) everything there. This is not true in practice, but if you want to order everything we need every day quickly with one click and on a single portal, you almost always choose Amazon first. The different categories cover normal needs in the broadest sense. It is delivered quickly and includes a large media library. If you register as a Prime member for a small annual fee, you get free access to many films and series, and the articles are also shipped free of charge.

2. eBay

EBay is also very popular with Germans; the German-language edition of the site is visited by over 700 million users every year. At least we can sell on the marketplace ourselves, and you can also find very interesting bargains here. Many retailers also sell new goods on eBay. They also list excellent B-goods here, which come from returns and are inexpensive but “like new”.

3. Zalando

We Germans are proud of this classic, because the Berlin-based company founded in 2008 has made it to the top in eBusiness. First-class, but also extremely cheap shoes and fashion are available here in an extreme variety of brands, including who’s who like adidas, Abercrombie & Fitch, Calvin Klein, Urban Outfitters and Tommy Hilfiger. Zalando’s discount campaigns are just great!

4. Etsy

Anyone who has always loved flea markets also loves Etsy! Among the shopping portals in Germany, it is the perfect place for hobbyists, artists and jewelry manufacturers who sell their works of art there and offer handmade items for sale. Here you will find truly unique items in the fields of jewelry, fashion and entertainment. If you want to sell yourself, you should definitely create an account here!

We all like to go to the small Tchibo shops that sell much more than just coffee. The nice accessories are always good for a gift idea, whereby the variety is the program. Tchibo offers us a new world every week, as its slogan promises. We think: The shop is one of the 10 most important shopping portals in Germany. Tchibo also impresses with its consistent sustainability.

8. Boohoo

Fashionistas love boohoo. The website initially opens in English because the company is based in the UK , but it quickly switches to German. There is very chic fashion here at amazingly affordable prices. Boohoo has been convincing us with style and design since 2006.
